I just wanted to say that I love cookies again, because I just ate one and it made me happy :-)
Now for something I hate - being cold.
I lived in Melbourne for 4 years and I now know the true definition of the word. I moved back to Brisbane 8 months ago though and am so glad to be back... but these cold nights and mornings are really annoying me! I dont enjoy plunging into a cold bed at night, nor do I like getting out of the shower with wet hair when its freezing outside of my steamed up glass box. I miss summer. I am one of those people who just cant seem to get warm. My feet and hands always suffer the most yet my fiance's hands and feet stay warm all year round. Even to the point of him throwing off the doona some nights recently saying he's hot. Weird. But I shouldnt really complain I suppose, Melbourne is disgustingly cold for about 8 months of the year plus its overcast and windy which makes for a depressing winter thats for sure. My first Christmas day in Melbourne it was 13 degrees. I was sitting there with my mouth open wondering wtf is this place!? As we were driving out of Melbourne (yes we drove back to Brisbane) all I could think was 'seeya you cold, shitty place'. Dont get me wrong, I loved Melbourne when it was warm, and the food and shopping was awesome. But being able to go outside without having a long sleeved top, thick jacket, scarf, gloves, socks, boots, and sometimes even a beanie is a feeling that cant be matched.

Cookie Monster
Ever since I was little I have been in love with cookies. I used to sneak scotch fingers all the time and dip them in my mums tea when she wasnt looking. Luckily my mum loves them too so there was always a supply in the pantry. Now that I'm 26 I still find myself addicted to them - and because I'm all grown up I can buy and eat as many as I want! Dangerous. I've started making my own biscuits too which is terrible because I start eating the batter, then have a warm one out of the oven, then another 2 when I invite my friend over for tea and cookies, then Ill have another 2 or more for dessert. I have to give the rest away at work otherwise I will literally sit there and eat them all, and still look for more afterwards. I always have a stash of ginger nuts in the pantry though just in case I didnt make any too. If I allowed myself to spiral out of control I think I would eat a packet a day - thats right, a whole packet. I once ate a packet of mint slice biscuits in a matter of 5 minutes and it felt like Id only eaten one. So maybe Im kidding myself when I say one packet... it might be more like 4 packets a day. Sounds like the best day of my life waiting to happen really :-)

Siren Nitric Black Boots
I am in love with these boots! I saw a pic of Jennifer Hawkins wearing them at a fashion show and I searched the net high and low to try and find out who makes them. Finally after a week I found out they are from Jen's shoe range... ugh. How obvious :-
So I ended up buying them from styletread.com.au and they should be delivered on Wednesday! I am 6' normally so I will be like 6'4 in these. Ah well, thats the price you pay for love. Pity I couldnt buy a Jennifer Hawkins body suit too...

Debut
I'm starting this blog because I love some stuff and I hate some stuff. Hate might sound like a strong word but I have to admit, there are times when I hate things - and people for that matter. But there is a lot of love in my life and I'd say that this far outweighs the hate. But I've started this blog mainly because I want to share my stories and experiences with people and hear what others have to say too. So to kick things off, I'd like to talk about my obsession with buying OPI nail polish off eBay...
I started a few weeks ago and bought 2 bottles which I was excited about because I had never bought OPI for myself before. That sounds really stupid but I was - I have now gone and bought another 8 bottles in less than 3 weeks - so the colours I have in my little collection now are:
tickly my france
hopelessly in love
suzi and the lifeguard
i ate berries in the canaries
strawberry margarita
rumples wiggin
peach infatuation
purple with a purpose
meet me on the star ferry
lucky lucky lavender
I just cant stop buying them! I am literally watching 14 items in my eBay that are OPI. I mean I can get them pretty cheap (about $12 per bottle on average) so I'm not exactly breaking the bank, but how many nail polishes do I actually need? How many more will I buy before I stop? I just dont know... my obsessive behaviour is yet to give up because as I am typing this I have eBay open in another tab bidding on the colour hot and spicy. Oh dear. Please help me.
